All forms listed in bold are available for download by clicking the title in the text or in the list at the top of this page.

Step 1:
Arrange a parent tour of HBHA. Contact Tamara Lawson Schuster, Director of Admissions, to schedule your visit. If applying for kindergarten, attend a Taste of Kindergarten evening in January. Steps 2 and 3 may be completed before step 1.

Step 2:
Complete and submit the Application for Admission with a $50 non-refundable application fee and a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport.

Step 3:
Give the signed Records Release Form to your child’s current school and either the Grades K-1 Teacher Evaluation Form or the Grades 2-11 Teacher Evaluation  to your child’s current teacher. Transcripts and evaluations need to be sent directly from your child’s current school to the HBHA Admissions Office.

Step 4:
If applying for kindergarten, register your child for Kindergarten Round-up on
February 4, 2011. Applications for admission must be submitted on or prior to attending Round-up. If applying after Round-up, schedule your child for a short visit to the HBHA kindergarten. Applicants to grades 1 through 11 will need to spend a half or full day at HBHA in his/her current grade class. To schedule your child’s visit, please contact Tamara Lawson Schuster, Director of Admissions.

Step 5 (optional):
Submit a Financial Assistance Application
and related documents to our Chief Financial Officer, Gary Hedberg. See the Tuition and Financial Assistance page for financial assistance information and forms.

Step 6:
The Admissions Committee will assemble all application materials, recommendation forms and student records to make admission decisions.

Step 7:
Acceptance letters and enrollment contracts for kindergarten will be mailed in early March, and thereafter on a rolling basis. Acceptance letters and enrollment contracts for lateral entries will be sent on a rolling basis.

Step 8:
Contracts and enrollment deposits are due back within 10 days of receiving the acceptance letter.
