More about Kristin:
Despite the fact that I used to line all my dolls and bears up on my bed to teach them when I was a child, I did not take a direct route to teaching. After graduating with my B.A. in English, I went to law school and loved all the research and writing I got to do there. This led me back to graduate school, where I began teaching as part of my master’s program. I stayed on to earn an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in English and History, teaching college composition and literature courses for twelve years along the way. In addition, I edited two college journals, was co-editor of a collection of essays, and worked as a freelance proofreader and writer. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Trevor, my son, Dorian, and our two dogs. I also love reading, writing, knitting, baking, and travel. Always ready for my next adventure, I am thrilled to be a part of the HBHA community!
