More about Mike: This is my second time teaching at HBHA. Currently, I am the MS/US social studies teacher, but in an earlier incarnation, I was also the MS/US English and drama teacher. In 2013 I went back to school to pursue a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations at the University of Kansas, where I also taught two sections of Education and Society to underclassmen.  My research focused on the philosophy of John Dewey and whether or not the ideas he developed in response to the industrial revolution could also be applied to the digital revolution. Rather than pursue a career in Academia, I chose to come back to HBHA because I love being a part of such a smart, caring, and ever-evolving Jewish day school.  Truly.  I honestly can’t think of anywhere I would rather teach. HBHA has a brilliant staff, eager students, and a supportive Jewish community. It doesn’t get much better.
