More About Sara:

I have been the School Psychologist at HBHA since the fall of 2019. Prior to starting at HBHA, I spent 12 years as a School Psychologist in public schools in Austin, Texas, Overland Park, KS, and Lee’s Summit, MO. I have been married to my awesome husband, Mark for 17 years, and we have two fantastic daughters. Lucy is in middle school this year, and Olivia is in the 4th grade.

I am so fortunate to be able to work with the students in all grades (K-12) here at HBHA! I truly love how the small, family atmosphere allows me to work closely with students, teachers and families. As part of the student services team at HBHA, I help with problem solving and collaboration to support student-needed accommodations or modifications. I also provide classroom lessons, small group counseling, short-term individual counseling, and I help to support the overall social and emotional well-being of our students. I am proud to supervise Sources of Strength, a peer-lead suicide intervention program that focuses on “upstream” intervention and “Help, Hope and Strength” to help teens build positive coping strategies.
