Scott White, 10th grade Jewish History

Scott White’s career as a Rabbi spanned 34 years, reaching its conclusion at the end of July when he stepped down after nearly a decade and half as spiritual leader of Congregation Ohev Sholom. A member of the HBHA faculty from 1994 to 2005, he returns to the Academy to teach 10th grade Jewish History. Born and raised in Kansas City, Rabbi White attended Shawnee Mission East and the University of Kansas. He holds rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. He is married to HBHA 1st grade teacher Civia White. They are proud parents of HBHA graduates Jacob and Benjamin. Rabbi White’s hobbies include physical fitness and making and playing music. He also enjoys following the Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks, and especially the National Hockey League.
