Message from the Director of Athletics & Student Life

My name is Sam Matsil, and I am so honored to be serving HBHA as the Director of Athletics and Student Life. I graduated from HBHA in 2016 with a passion and excitement for all things sports. I love that HBHA gives every student an opportunity to be involved and play, no matter their athletic background! My goal is to continue providing amazing opportunities for our students and facilitate a culture that helps kids thrive on and off the court. GO RAMS!
If you're interested in learning more about HBHA Athletics, feel free to contact me at [email protected] or Admissions Director Bekah Zitron at [email protected].

Middle School Athletics
Middle School athletics is open to all HBHA students in grades 5-8. Our Middle School teams play private schools from around the Kansas City metro area.
Upper School Athletics
At the Upper School level, our teams compete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Games are scheduled with teams in the league as well as with other public and private school teams in the Kansas City metro area. Upper School teams are often also given the opportunity to compete in regional tournaments hosted by Jewish schools, which may involve travel to major U.S. cities.
