Extracurriculars

HBHA offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students of all ages.

Lower School
In addition to academically enriching field trips and mitzvah trips around Kansas City, Lower School students may participate in 100-Mile Club (K-5) and HBHA athletics (5th grade only). Also, as part of HBHA's commitment to helping students grow as learners, we support classroom learning through Talmid, a teacher-supervised tutoring program. Talmid also available Tuesday-Thursdays, 3:45-4:45 pm for students beginning in 2nd grade. Students may participate in additional after-school activities on campus through The J KC.

During the school day, students can engage in elective courses, including graphic design, drama, art, music, PE and Jewish Studies. Beyond our elective courses, HBHA offers these extracurricular opportunities in Middle School: (no cut) sports, Mathcounts, student government, and class trips in 6th and 8th grades. Talmid, a teacher-supervised tutoring program, is also available Tuesday-Thursday for Middle School students from 4:00-6:00 pm each week.
