Welcome to Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA), an award-winning independent day school and Kansas City’s only Jewish Day School for children in grades K to 12. Here, students are known, challenged, and expected to think deeply, ask boldly, and grow into capable, ethical leaders.

For nearly 60 years, we’ve nurtured a strong community of Jewish families from diverse backgrounds who value the same thing: an academically strong, joy-filled education that nurtures the whole child’s intellectual, social, and spiritual growth.

Our strong academic foundation is reinforced by our flexible Jewish Studies model that enables all students to engage in Jewish learning that respects how Judaism is practiced in a variety of homes.

Whether they join us in Kindergarten, Grade 11, or anywhere in between, your child will benefit from a personalized education in a small, close-knit class, enriched by our shared traditions and rooted in the values of the Torah.
